Lithography
Lithography is a process of fine art printmaking. On a slab of limestone, the artist draws with carbon pigment. The surface of the limestone is then processed and inked. A printing press puts pressure on the paper to produce the lithograph.
Lot
The fine art term lot refers to the number given an art work or set of art objects that will be sold at auction. The lot number is also how the art works are arranged in the auction catalogs.
